About This Work Package

This WP aims to create a comprehensive understanding of the key stakeholders and their roles, fostering collaboration and enhancing the circular economy by using advanced AI tools to identify synergies, gaps, and opportunities for enhanced cooperation. This work package will lay the foundation for strategic planning and foster better connections between various ecosystem actors, thereby supporting the transition towards sustainable and circular regional economies.

Tasks Breakdown

T4.1

Stakeholder Identification and Data Collection

M1-M3 (March 2025 - June 2025)

This task involves identifying key stakeholders such as industry partners, policymakers, local businesses, community organizations, and other relevant actors. The data collection process will employ advanced techniques like website scraping and crawling, along with surveys and interviews, to gather detailed information regarding the stakeholders' roles, activities, and interactions within the circular economy. The resulting stakeholder registry will provide a comprehensive overview of each partner's role, highlighting their contributions and potential areas for engagement.

T4.2

Develop AI-Based Ecosystem Mapping Tool

M4-M12 (July 2025 - March 2026)

This task is to develop an AI-based ecosystem mapping tool. This tool will utilize AI and natural language processing (NLP) to map and analyze relationships between ecosystem actors, identifying potential synergies, collaboration opportunities, and gaps in the current system. The aim is to design a functional, user-friendly interface that can visually represent the ecosystem, allowing users to explore and understand the dynamics between stakeholders. The tool will also offer insights into how different entities can work together more effectively to enhance circular economy initiatives.

T4.3

Stakeholder Engagement Workshops

M10-M18 (January 2026 - September 2026)

This task focuses on stakeholder engagement workshops. These workshops will bring together a wide range of regional stakeholders, including university boards, policymakers, industry representatives, and community organizations, to present the initial AI-based ecosystem mapping and gather their feedback. The workshops will provide a platform for dialogue, enabling stakeholders to share their perspectives on the ecosystem mapping and suggest improvements. The insights gained will be used to refine the mapping tool and develop an innovation roadmap for the region.

T4.4

Regional Ecosystem Reports

M19-M21 (October 2026 - December 2026)

This task involves generating regional ecosystem reports. These reports will provide a detailed overview of the regional circular economy ecosystem, including key stakeholders, their roles, connections, and identified opportunities for collaboration. The reports will include visual maps that offer a clear and accessible representation of the ecosystem, making it easier for stakeholders to understand the network of relationships and how they can contribute. Each report will be tailored to the specific context of the participating HEIs, ensuring relevance and actionable insights.
