A searchable, AI-curated library of best practices at the intersection of artificial intelligence and the circular economy.
Explore the Platform
One of the core goals of Work Package 2 is to identify and share the best practices on how AI can accelerate circular economy research and inventions. To make this knowledge accessible to everyone, we built an interactive web platform that turns a large body of research into an explorable, searchable map of what actually works.

A Searchable Library of 80 Best Practices

At the heart of the platform is a curated collection of 80 best practices, each describing a concrete way artificial intelligence is being used to advance the circular economy — from optimizing metal recovery from industrial waste to federated learning for smarter e-waste sorting. Every entry is distilled from underlying research documents and enriched with structured metadata so you can quickly judge its relevance.

You can search practices by title, description, keywords, authors, or topic, and filter and sort them by impact score, technology readiness level (TRL), country, or year. Each card surfaces an estimated impact score, an innovation and commercial rating, the originating country, and the topic cluster it belongs to.

Organized Into Circular Economy Topic Clusters

To help you see the bigger picture, the platform groups every practice into Circular Economy topic clusters using AI-based text analysis. Rather than scrolling through a flat list, you can explore the field by theme — such as waste sorting and classification, plastic recycling, battery and e-waste recycling, food-waste valorization, or textile and fashion circularity.

More Than a List: Maps, Topics, and Sources

Beyond the browser and the clusters, the platform offers a geographic map view that places practices on the world map, a topics overview, and a source-documents section so you can trace each practice back to the research it was synthesized from. Every claim stays transparent and verifiable.

The platform is itself a small showcase of the project's thesis: AI is not only a subject of circular economy research, it is also a powerful tool for organizing, synthesizing, and making that research usable for students, researchers, and start-ups alike.

Try It Yourself

The best-practice platform is open and free to explore. Whether you are looking for inspiration for your own research, scouting potential collaborators, or simply curious about how AI is reshaping the circular economy, it is the fastest way to get an overview of the field.
